Log- A-Load for Kids® is a national program where a portion of the harvest profits are donated to the Children’s Miracle Network®

The South Carolina logging industry became corporate sponsors of the Children’s Miracle Network in 1988 with the Log-A-Load program, and the program has since spread to 30 other states and raised nearly $30 million through charitable harvests for the Children’s Miracle Network. The Great Lakes region (Michigan and Wisconsin) has been part of the charitable event since 1996.

The Michigan and Wisconsin Log a Load for Kids program is sponsored by The Great Lakes Timber Professionals Association (GLTPA) and is part of the Children's Miracle Network.

Great Lakes Timber Professionals Association members have been actively involved in coordinating yearly events throughout the regions.

“Great Lakes Timber Professionals is fortunate to have dedicated members who are willing to take the time from their own businesses to work for the benefit of our kids. Our regions pulled together these events which are fantastic,” Henry Schienebeck, executive director of GLTPA said. “This is what our organization is about, unity for a better world.”
