Meet Henry

After graduating from high school in 1974 Henry was employed by a local log hauling company for two years after which time he started a logging company.

In 1978, he became the owner of Schienebeck Trucking and then owner of Schienebeck Bulldozing and Schienebeck Renewable Resource Management. During 32 years of being self-employed as a third generation logger/trucker, Henry was board member and president of the Michigan Wisconsin Timber Producers Association.  After the merger of the Wisconsin Professionals Loggers Association, Forest Industry and Safety Training Alliance and Michigan Wisconsin Timber Producers Association, Henry served as the first President of the Great Lakes Timber Professionals Association until being appointed as its Executive Director.

Henry has been Executive Director of The Great Lakes Timber Professionals Association (GLTPA) since April of 2008.  He is currently Chair of the Wisconsin Governor’s Council on Forestry and serves on many other boards such as Wisconsin Agribusiness Council, and Trees for Tomorrow.

Henry is also a Wisconsin Certified Master Logger and is an independent businessman with the Team Leadership Development Company.

While owning and operating their own businesses, Henry and his wife Laurie of 36 years raised 3 children and are the proud grandparents of 7 grandchildren, including 5 boys and 2 girls.

Henry enjoys time with his family, traveling, camping and reading.  His greatest passion is helping others set and achieve their goals, and improving the Forest Products Industry through service to the GLTPA membership.
