The Great Lakes Timber Professionals Association and the Michigan Association of Timbermen, through their respective holding companies (The Timber Producers Service Corporation and The Timbermen Service Corporation) joined forces in 2009 with the Forest Insurance Center to share ownership of the Mauck Insurance Agency, Inc.
Mauck Insurance, a leader in providing insurance to the forest products community, is governed by a board of directors representing the ownership entities. The Mauck Board of Directors, who are peers of association members, direct the distribution of profits generated. Profits can be used to run association programs or help in representation in Madison or Lansing. Profits are not distributed to any one owner, employee or special interest group. No other insurance agency has this type of structure or ability to support the forest products community within the members' own association.
